Improvidores is a student-run Improv and Comedy group operated out of Monterey High School. We practice Improvisation and work on quick thinking skills, story building, and Comedy.
Monterey High School has performed comedy shows for years, but they were halted in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Improvidores is a revised, and official rebirth of that program, performing improv/variety shows out of Monterey High's Welch Theatre.

DIRECTORS
Bishop and Joe are the directors of Improvidores and MC the shows. The two have backgrounds in theater and improv. They have run the group since January of 2025.
Together, the pair have build a strong curriculum of Improv and comedy skills, that has formed the Improvidores into a fun and education program.
SOPHIA RUTTSCHOW

STAGE MANAGER
Sophia has been the Improvidores stage manager since May of 2025. She has been a loyal and trusty member of our tech staff, and has helped every show and practice, run smoothly. Sophia has a background in theater, and leadership positions.
With the Improvidores, she has helped us to our places on time, and kept the stage, the actors, and the audience, safe and entertained.

EVENT ORGANIZER
Willow has been the Improvidores' event organizer since April of 2025. She has worked hard sending emails, taking minutes, and making plans. Her and Sophia together have been the rock of the Improvidores' organization and stability.
Willow has a history with theater, she has been acting from a young age. Willow also will be serving as Drama Department President in the 2025-2026 school year.
